Alistair Boyd

As a textile designer, I travel extensively with my collections. I use this opportunity to draw and paint the characters and buildings within cities and in particular I’ve found the subjects in the United States compelling in their wonderful mix between haphazard grime from the 20’s and 30’s in contrast with contemporary shapes and structures. I incorporate lino cuts in my textile work and thought it would be an interesting technique to convey some of the city scape aesthetic.
